The party was full of energy and upbeat as the family celebrated a major milestone for their father. It truly was an awesome feeling to document and be apart this event.
Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 10:23PM This past Saturday I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding for the talented Akins Lawal. He is one of the best photographers I know and one of the reasons I started shooting weddings. The wedding was a traditional Chinese/Vietnamese wedding which included a Tea Ceremony. I made this photo below of the grandmother giving her blessing to the couple. While I was taking the photo, I felt the moment as I was watching this proud elder pass along her wisdom and blessings to the young couple.

Monday, January 3, 2011 at 12:31PM Here are some photos I made of Old Town Herndon, VA. I took some quick shots as I drove past this morning. Since I'm out in the suburbs now, I think I can use this blog to showcase some of the neighborhoods outside of the beltway to help recruit more folks to move out this way :).
Herndon is a nice little town filled with restaurants and little shops lined along brick pavered sidewalks. Many of the homes are built in the old foursquare style and still hold their charm of an era long gone. Hopefully I captured that in the photos below.
