Family Vacation - Cape Elizabeth, Maine

The family and I are finally back from a fun-filled week in New England. We spent the week eating tons of lobster and checking out several lighthouses. Here are some photos of an afternoon we spent at the Portland Head Light (Lighthouse), which is the most photographed and oldest lighthouse in America. I shot these with Kodak Portra 400 and was impressed by how rich the colors came out. I overexposed most of the photos by 2 stops with this film.

Cape Elizabeth was a great stop on the trip with tons of green space for kids to run around and have lunch. The views of the Atlantic and the Portland Head Light are amazing. A have to admit sometimes a camera can't truly show you how beautiful this place is - you just have to visit. Be sure to check back soon for more photos from Maine and Boston.

Garden Photos

Had some extra frames to blow before I sent them to the lab, so I took some shots of my garden.  Used Portra 400 and my trusty Yashica FX-3 Super 2000.

Old Town Alexandria, VA

Here are some photos from an afternoon in Old Town Alexandria, VA. Old Town is great place to check out some local artist at the Torpedo Factory and watch performances by local musicians. While I was down there I discovered 10 year-old Geoffrey Gallante, who is an amazing trumpet player.

Kim + Randy: Engagement Shoot - Atlantic City, NJ

Wow! All I have to say is what an honor it was for me to shoot Kim and Randy's engagement photos. Randy is one of my closest friends, and when he asked me to photograph them I wanted to put out my best. Kim and Randy gave me theirs as well, and I hope these photos prove it.  BTW, these are all film photos.

Congrats again to Kim and Randy!  Had a great time with you guys!  Special thanks also to Arlene for being my assistant for the day.

Sal and Julia's Despedida :(

I know it's been a while...

Here are some photos from our great friend's despedida...aka going away. Julia and Sal are a great down-to-earth couple who know how to get down. I'm going to miss these guys! I guess that's why I love photography - it's an opportunity to make memories and make images of people as you want to remember them.

I took these photos with my film camera using Kodak Portra 400.
