Columbia Heights - Washington, DC

Took these photos yesterday around the corner of 11th St. and Park St. NW in in the Columbia Heights section of DC (after checking out Meridian Pint - previous post). If you haven't noticed I love documenting neighborhoods for some reason. These photos show the typical DC row houses that can found throughout the district.
Meridian Pint - Washington, DC

Today I met up with one of my good friends RJ at Meridian Pint in the Columbia Heights section of Washington, DC. I was a little flustered making my way to this place, since I had to deal with traffic and getting lost (I never get lost in DC). Once I bellied up to the bar everything was all good. Meridian Pint has a huge selection of craft beers on tap and service was pretty good. The food was okay, but this is a place you go for the beer. They even have taps at your table (downstairs) where you can pour your own beer. The service was extremely friendly and their eco-friendly concept is always good in my book.
Always good times chatting it up about sports, stocks and strategy over beers...that how great ideas get started.
RJ took the last photo.
California Wine Country - Napa

I'm heading out to Napa next month, so I dug up some old pictures I took from last year's trip. From a photography perspective, I'm really looking forward to making some photos on this trip. My approach to my photos will be totally different plus I'm going to test out my skills with my new film camera...yup film!
Anyway, here are some photos of the B&B (Maison Fleurie) we stayed at in Yountville and wineries (Pine Ridge Winery and Robert Zinskey) in Napa.
Cherrydale - Arlington, VA

I drive by the Cherrydale Hardware store located on Route 29 in Arlington, VA every morning on my way to work. This store speaks Americana to me every time I pass by. The windows are filled with vintage Radio Flyer wagons and bbq equipment. It gives me a feeling of what it would be like back in the 1960s. I would buy my tools from here any day versus going to the Home Depot.
