Winter Grilling

Well I love grilling in the winter, especially when there's snow outside.  I put some ribeyes on the grill that I picked up from Wegmans and had Brooklyn Brewery Local 1 Belgium style ale to go along with the grilling process. Here's a couple of photos of a grilling episode that took place today.  Bobby Flay ain't got nothing on this.

Finally Snow!

Well the weather forecasters were finally right with this one.  The DC area received a good amount snow which stifled yesterday evenings commute.  It took me close to 5 hours to get home.  Anyway, here are couple of photos from this morning of Noah and I shoveling snow.  Arlene took the one with me in it.

Victor and Joni's Wedding in Cabo San Lucas

With the weather being so cold, I went through my archives to find some photos to warm me up.  Here are some photos from my friends Victor and Joni's wedding in Cabo San Lucas.  They had a beautiful ceremony in an old church built in 1730 in San Jose and a fabulous reception at the Hacienda Del Mar in Cabo.  Arlene and I had an awesome time attending their wedding and had a great time partying up with great friends.

Congrats again Victor and Joni -- one year anniversary coming up!

Crispy Chicken with Golden Raisin Compote

Made this dish from a recipe in this month's Food and Wine Magazine. Click here for the recipe. I used organic chicken and Trader Joe's Three Grain Blend to substitute the buttered farro.  The Three Grain Blend is also a good substitute for white rice. Here are some photos below:

Child's Play at the National Building Museum

Today, I went downtown with the little guy to check out the National Building Museum.  I used to spend many lunch breaks here when I worked downtown for a couple of clients.  The neat thing about this museum is it has become a kid friendly place where they can run around and play with building blocks and other lego type items.  This place is always packed with moms and dads hanging with their kids...especially on this cold DC Friday.
